The Roadtrip
Hi, we are the Blues! Our journey began after a month-long road trip from Kansas City to the west coast in December of 2017. The experience was so beautiful and transformative that it prompted us to rethink our lifestyle and seek ways to live more authentically and expose our daughter to the world outside of the suburbs. We began looking for RVs. We began looking at several RVs including motorhomes, camper vans, fifth wheels, and then one day we walked into an Airstream travel trailer and fell in love. We took the brochure home, placed it on a nightstand and started dreaming of peaceful mornings waking up in nature, exploring beautiful destinations and sipping coffee by a campfire. The road was calling, and we couldn't ignore it.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

The Leap
Once we had the vision, we started to make a plan for our adventure. We rented our house, bought a truck, moved into a rental property we owned and began to remodel it to sell, while we waited for the arrival of our newly ordered 2019 30ft Airstream Flying Cloud Bunk. We began working completely remote and enrolled our daughter in online school. Then, in November of 2018, having never towed a travel trailer, we picked up our brand new 2019 30ft Flying Cloud Bunk model and hit the road full-time just one week later.
The Endless Caravan
The plan was to give Airstream travel a try for a year but just three months in we were hooked. Since 2018, we've spent time with family in Canada, explored most states including Alaska, navigated the challenges of traveling during a pandemic, and made a bunch of friends along the way. When people ask us now when we might stop traveling, the answer is that we no longer time box our lives. We slow down when we need to, mix things up from time to time, and adventure as often as we can.
